Long before Diana, Princess of Wales, would be called Queen of Hearts Astrid, Princess of Sweden, Queen of Belgium, held that title. She was born in 1905 as a Swedish Princess and married the Crown Prince of Belgium in 1926. It was a marriage of love and the Princess was adored by all who met her. When she became Queen, at the side of her husband King Leopold III, she used her power to help the poor and unfortunate souls of this world. August 1935 was a month of relaxing and pure happiness for the Royal Couple. Sadly their happiness was cut short when they had a car accident on August the 29th 1935. The Queen of Hears died but her memory lives on forever.
