@Zellmeier Thanks so much for the info! I'm going with the 60mm, for that fact that I have never owned a macro lens... So I' guessing the 60mm would be better for a novice. Then later down the road upgrade to the 100mm :D Really appreciate the time you took to respond, thank you!

the dial that is moving is the focusing of the lens. you can focus manual or automatic. it is a good lens for macro because of the 60mm you can make handheld macro shots. if you have a 100mm or 180mm macro lens you need a tripod to get sharp resolutions (cause of shaking). one disadvantage is, that you have to get very close to the objekt you want to photograph - thats because of the 60mm ...
Wow at first I thought it was possessed! Lol jk ;D
Is this lens able to zoom in at all? Thanks for your help !! =)

@Viperr818
No, you are not able to zoom, the focal length is fixed (60mm).

Yes, the 100mm is also fixed. I sold my 60mm and buy the 100mm 2,8L USM IS Macro Canon. The 60mm was a very good lens, but the 100mm L Macro is awesome!! The Image Stabilizer is great to minimize hand shake. There is just one disadvantage, the price ;) ...
