anglo saxon bob it was a great movie ..and maybe 'very english' but the fact is ;the wild geese ' were an irish mercenary group that fought ..i think for the french in the 1700's or maybe later ... still one of my favourite films ever, and thanx to yorkie for postin it

Yes, it does pull on the emotions. I was just thinking about it as I watched the video. Pretty sad film, I've seen it many times in the past and it really does pull on your emotions....I think I jave it on DVD, free with the Mail on Sunday a while back.
