Breach:
Ashraf and Nader were looking for guitarists and a drummer to complete a 5 man lineup. Osama a friend, helped bring Onaisee and Omair into the lineup as the 2 guitarists. Nafeez(Kronic) also joined in as the drummer. Breach was thus formed in late 2002. The initial plan was to play as many shows as possible covering other bands and playing tributes. But right from the first day the band started composing and compiling their own material. The band infact played a complete song "Tobuo" in their debut show, which was highly appreciated by the audience. The completion of the first song never stopped anyone from composing more, rather motivated them which lead to the aim to produce a whole album. Therefore besides playing live shows the band was also busy making up their own music. In 2003, Sumon of Aurthohin heard the demo of "Tobuo" and was impressed enough to get them a record deal with a leading label of the country, Geetanjoly or more popularly known as G-series. This certainly got the band on the edge of their seats and pushed them a further knotch in finishing compositions and song writings. In the meanwhile, Nader(bass) left the band as he had to pursue higher education abroad. Nafeez(drums) left as well. Micah then took up the bass and Jonathan came in as the drummer. The band with its new line up had to play shows for a few months to get the new members accustomed to it, so the album work went to rest for a while. In early 2004 the band commenced their studio work at Soundgarden studio under the supervision of leading sound engineer Isha Khan Duray. Jonathan after finishing his drum takes for songs "Shopno", "Tobuo" and "Char Deyaler Majhe" had to leave for abroad bringing about yet another obstacle to the completion of the album. Luckily Bangladesh's rising star Mazruk Nafi agreed to play drums on the rest of the songs of the album since Jonathan's return to Dhaka wasnt likely to happen in the near future. The band jammed with Nafi and over the next 1 year, finished composing and recording songs "Dhongsho", "Jantrik Shobbhota", "Anonto"and "Joga Khichuri". Forgot to mention that Onaisee left for abroad but kept coming back to Dhaka every summer and winter for the purpose of recording;Micah also left for abroad but finished his bass takes in songs "Joga Khichuri", "Dhongsho", "Jantrik Shobbhota", "Tobuo" and "Shopno". This ofcourse led to interruptions in the band's recording progress. . In the summer of 2005, Onaisee and Omair put their heads together to cook up an instrumental (which was later called "Beg") and this was recorded by the end of August 2005. Faria(Druids) and Resalat(Ajob) chipped in their efforts as guest members to play keyboards and bass(respectively) on the track. Then followed the last 2 songs to be finished: "Nei Shekor" and "Ebarer cholon". All drum takes were finished in mid december 2005 when the band finally saw a faint light of hope, dreaming to bring out their debut album which was already delayed by 2 years. In late december, the band decided and was determined to release the album in early january 2006. After finishing all that was left of recording, the band set out to mix and master the compilation as quickly as possible. Isha Khan Duray worked diligently in brining the exact sounds that the band wanted into the songs. The album was completed in a surprisingly short time and released on the 9th of january 2006, on the eve of Eid-Ul-Azha.
