ROY BUCHANAN BACKSTAGE: 420 TIME IN HAMBURG!

Roy was known to dabble in things, and even when he was in his twenties,bar owners became aware that the cigarette stuck in his Telecaster headstock wasn't filled with tobacco! Here is Roy 2/24/85 in Hamburg,Germany taking a 420 break backstage before the final encore. Roy lights up and has a puff, and a swig of the local German beer,exhaling through his nose (Roy just finished touring Amsterdam, so it was probably kind). I had the distinct pleasure of meeting Roy about 6 weeks after this was filmed,and he could not have been more graciuos towards me. I still miss Roy, like so many of us do, but his music and spirit live on forever!
