If Gore had been president, 9/11 wouldn't have happened.

Gore would not have demoted Richard Clarke, top man on terrorism, like Bush did, and would not have refused to meet with him, like Bush did, and would have actually paid attention to the numerous warnings through 2001, instead of straight up refusing to address the issue, like Bush did.

Also, Gore would not have gone on vacation for the whole month of August.

@Arley2011 Clinton can't be vice. Also Clinton was awesome but if Al Gore had got it then instead of job killing they would have been real killing right after the 9/11. Both of al and bush were not fit to be in office as president anyway.

Obama has extended Bush tax cuts, extended Bush wars while adding a new war, Made discretionary spending cuts that Bush only had wet dreams about, Extended the Bush Patriot Act, extended the career of the Bush FED Chairman...

I don't get why you tea baggers are so upset, Obama is essentially an extension of Bush, but of course, as David Brooks says, you Tea Baggers are no longer even sane conservatives...

If Gore had been President...

-Possibly 9/11 never would have happened due to different policies in place

-Even if it did, we wouldn't be fighting two meaningless wars 10 years later

-The debt would have been in the process of getting paid down, instead of raising the debt ceiling

-There still would have been a housing bubble, but due to sensible regulations, it would have been smaller, and we would handle a quick recovery because our debt would have been manageable
