  • Can you get this for free? or only the trial version free?

  • @MattS6993 What do you mean by "this"? Sony Vegas is not free, but you can purchase the "Movie Studio" version (as seen in this video) for around 90 bucks which has more features then most users will ever need, the Pro version is just overkill for 99% of the users. I personally don't condone piracy but if you absolutely can't scrape together 90 bucks the Vegas Pro version is widely available online if you know what I mean.... All the codecs seen in this video are free.

  • for youtube i stick with wmv mainly because i've had a lot of trouble with audio sync with mp4s

  • @TarikProductions alright I'll look into it. Thanks.

  • @VWAWrestlingHD Honestly, there is none. Everyone is good in their own way. I usually render in avi h.264

  • @TarikProductions Alright. What I'm trying is to achieve the best lossless quality possible to upload videos to YouTube. The best quality possible, same colors as the ones I edited to the footage in Vegas and not darker ones, and smooth frames. Sorry for being picky, but I can't find any help anywhere else, so thank you so much for replying.

  • @VWAWrestlingHD I dont think that is possible. There are other codecs you can render to, its not that important to render it to .mp4 if you dont want to tweak the color before you render.

  • @TarikProductions I prefer rendering in MP4, but I don't know how to change the codecs, plus I wanted to keep the colors and brightness I'm using in my project without having to change them before rendering. Any help would be appreciated.

  • @VWAWrestlingHD Well there isnt any fix for it. You will just have to brighten the clip before rendering.

It depends on what the codec is before you render it TO mp4.

  • @TarikProductions I was looking for a fix to that issue.

  • From my experience, all codecs that render in to mp4 lose a little bit of color, and darkens the video a little.
