Are you joking? Bomber was a badass, no doubt....and this was from the season that the Bruins traded away Miller to LA, but the ISLES werent even close to the toughest team. Pilon was overrated, Vukota was like Mike Peluso....kicked ass one night, got whipped the next, and Gary Nyland? Decent fighter, but got dribbled by both Probert and Kocur the same year. Detroit was laughing at the isles around 87 88....

Talk about turning a team around, people were pissed when the Isles traded Makela to get this kid.
But you had Gary Nylund, Baumgartner, Vukota and Pilon on one team.
Hardly anyone messed with the Isles back then.
