Chi Ali was the youngest member of The Native Tongues that included De La Soul, A Tribe Called Quest, The Jungle Brothers, and The Beatnuts. He started rapping when he was 14 making guest appearances on songs by Black Sheep and De La Soul. His one and only album The Fabulous Chi Ali came out in 1992 when he was 16 and became an instant classic of The Golden Era. In 2000 he committed the crime of murdering his girlfriend's brother. He was arrested in 2001 and began serving a 14-year sentence for the offense. He will be released in two years.

cant believe he killed dude over a cd collection ..i remember watching the episode of amercas most wanted ..where the host was like this little punk calls himself the roadrunner but u cant outrun the law or something dumb like that..lol..they tried to make him sound like a lifetime criminal ..

People should remember he took someones life. No matter how you feel about him as a emcee he still has to pay the piper. I hope he works hard on changing his life for the better and reflects on the life he ended early.
