  • There is no one ever in the music history who can deliver such soulful songs as Al green. The man was born with an anointed voice. Only Sam Cooke and Johnny Taylor can come close to this man's talents.

  • the best,

  • @Thefaze100963 TOO COOL ..... Awesome :)

  • @doctorrachaelg AMEN:)

  • Thank you Willie Nelson for writing a beautiful song... Thank you Al for delivering it like no other could.

  • JUst don't go away.Thank you

  • No matter what race you are, if you've got it - you got it! Al Green is one of the greatest artist that has ever graced this earth with the voice that God gave him. He is a blessing to my soul, rather singing this type of music or gospel. I am a die-hard Al Green fan! God bless you Al Green and thank you for all you have contributed to this life.

  • This sweet, sad song was written and recorded by Willie Nelson. He performed it in two albums, his debut album called And Then I Wrote, in 1962, and then again in 2010 with Juice Newton on her album called Duets, Friends and Memories.

But a LOT of people have performed this song. I am most familiar with this one, from Al Green, in 1973. Whatever version a person likes, we could respect everybody enough to have the right to prefer one version over another with this song, or with any song.

  • @jojamful: Simple because Al Green is one bad azz MFO.
