That is sad that they are closing I want to help out to make sure that they don't close but I'm not sure what to do to help. My friend is thinking about doing a fundraiser to get them the money to do it but not sure how to do it. any thoughts.

WTF IS GONNA HAPPEN TO HETALIA!!!!!!!!!!! T.T
-
OK NOW WE JUST HAVE YEN PRESS, VIZ, DARK HORSE, Kodansha AND SEVEN SEAS
-
@TheAwesomeGameGuy202 Actually, the elements (and most of the properties) of Del Rey (more or less) went to Kodansha USA, which started their titles where DR left off. Also, KUSA will re-release the Sailor Moon manga this fall, which ironically was one of Tokyopop's first titles, back when they were known as Mixx.

@luvdefleppard1 well...anime/manga get proffesionally translated when they get licensed in teh us but fans do it too..so scanlations for ongoing animes..fans can do them...but those arent' guarenteed to come out...still something's something right? (:
-
@Inkwish oh soo tha'ts what started it...and yeah...but the movie/tv. show branches of tokyopop aren't closing down...like their ofices in germany and stuff...but no more manga/anime from them i think
-
gosh, tokyopop closes down on May 31st, 2011...so two days from now..>.> geez.....i was looking foward to sekaiichi hatsukoi being released...and finishing loveless....i can just imagine all the unfinished titles...>.> i wanna cry D": srsly all that's left are the scanlations, well at least we have that! ^-^ well yen press still has black butler and pandora hearts and nabari no ou...so, i won't go in a rampage just yet..bu aww im gonan miss blu and tokypop. Some of my fave mangas were by them.
-
@murkythreat i know..gosh...better get them all on ebay while I can....
-
GAH! I didn't finish Sgt.Frog!
-
No Fruits Basket! The price is going to sky rocket! T_T
-
What about JR? T.T
This is what I don't understand.. It's only for manga right?
Like, who translates anime? Fans?
I think that it's really sad that it has come to this. All we have left now are Viz, Dey Ray, Yen Press and Kodansha. I think. There's also the smaller groups like Seven Seas and Verticle. I really hope all of these companies don't start closing down
Anyway, I hope another company picks up Maria Holic. What series aren't continuing for you, Protaku?

@BrokenClocks08 Well, I don't have any of their currently (abandoning?) ongoing series. Also, Del Rey had fizzled out and (for the most part) replaced by Kodansha USA, who also bought out nearly half of Vertical earlier this year.
