ANNOUNCEMENT:
In an up-coming video, James will extend his thanks to all the musicians, listeners and friends who expressed their heart-felt good wishes for his speedy recovery.
After more than 30 raditation treatments, complicated by insulin-dependent diabetes, James Keane has been given the green light by his doctors, and is officially free of cancer! There are the obligatory follow-ups, and this all has to be watched, but the good news is clear, he has retained his voice, and his throat is now healthy again.
The IrishMusicTherapy series will of course continue as the music goes on in full strength now that Keane is back to full form. The wonders of music, and the joy of Irish traditional is proven again, as James could not have undertaken this battle without this gift of distraction, or without the overwhelming support and love he received from family, both intimate and his musical family around the world.
Thanks to everyone for supporting him in his time of need, and enjoy the music!

Excellent playing!
Usually, when I find a you tube video of someone playing tunes, I usually find it annoying if they talk at the beginning -- I tend to skip past the talking, to get to the TUNES already. But in this case I enjoyed the spoken intro. I guess that's because... James actually has something to say!)
