This I Promise You *Chapter 30. Finale! Part 2*

Katie: Yeah... Yeah, were just sitting here playing I spy... Yeah, I know. Shes getting married, so she decides to play I spy... Yeah... Bye! *She shut her phone.* Okay, lets go! *This is when I got nervous. I walked out of the back room into the hallway where I saw my daddy.*
Liz: Daddy! *I gave him a big hug.*
Dad: You look beautiful. *I just smiled. I didn't want to cry yet. My uncle started playing the organ & I watched as first Hillary & Garbo walked down the aisle. Then Tallia & John Taylor. Then Katie & Mike. Finally, the Best MEN & my sister walked down. Boy- was it a sight. Kevin was not about to choose between Joe, Nick & Frankie. So, he chose all three. I didn't care. Then, my dad & I walked down. Kevin was looking down the whole time I walked down the aisle. Once my dad gave me away he finally looked up. He only made a half smile- but I didn't need any more smile to tell how happy he was. His eyes were glazed. I couldn't tell if he was ready to tear up, which if he did that we would both just be sitting there like idiots, bawling our eyes out. He didn't luckily. We got married at my church, with my favorite Priest. When it came to saying our vows Kevin played the piano to the song he wrote me way back when. I stood across the piano so he could look at me easier. Him playing the piano along with the violinist in the background made everything perfect. Nothing was wrong, & for a split moment when he had looked me in the eyes, singing to me & smiling, I felt like I had died & gone to heaven. Only I don't think even heaven could be this perfect. ---------------- The reception after was grand. Kevin & I couldn't stay grown up too long, so when it came to the whole cutting the cake ceremony we had to put icing all over each others faces. Our song, so cheesy, was This I Promise You by Nsync. It was corny, but that was one of my favorite songs & he thought it summed up our life together thus far pretty well. One of the few moments we got to see each other alone he had me cornered.*
Kevin: Ya know- You,re perfect.
Liz: & what makes you say that.
Kevin: I dunno. Maybe its your smile, your eyes, your personality. Just you, yourself in general.
Liz: Well thanks. You,re just peachy, too. *I needed to get back to the party. I could hear Katie calling for me.*
Kevin: Hey! *He stopped me in my tracks.* I love you. *He hugged me & I realized I didn,t need a whole party & all that fun stuff. I just needed him, like this, forever.*
Liz: I love you, too, so much.
Kevin: Promise?
Liz: Yes, forever.
Kevin: Well then, I give you my word, I give you my heart, this is a battle we've won. & with this vow forever has now begun. *I smiled.* Every word I say is true, This I Promise You.
