Greg Sheehan and Ben Walsh play a strangler fig vine in "Drum Nature", a Dvd they filmed by going out to the Aussie bush with no instruments, but a couple of mics and a film crew. A mindblowing exploration of rhythm in nature and the technical virtuosity of these two musicians. ...

@Suluz777 Good grief!! This environmental thing is getting ridiculous. Ill remember to take my shoes off next time i walk on grass!
Humans need to be aware of the moral destruction that each of us participate in and clean that up before we worship the environment.

With all respect....as much as i love this...as a horticulturist i have to speak on the behalf of the fig tree.....drumming on the trunk is damaging to the tree....the living tissue is just beneath the thin bark of this species of fig....and u can clearly see the impact of the percussion on the trunk in the last few shots....the risk is a wound on the trunk that allows fungi to enter and eventually kill the tree....i wouldnt encourage anyone to do this. ....of course no harm intended.
