This morning, the Iowa state supreme court overturned their ban on gay marriage. This is an unfortunate blow to family values and an institution that is already suffering from a high divorce rate and children being born out of wedlock.

Now, we must also deal with the problems that stem from gay marriage being acceptable in main stream America.

The Iowa supreme court announced earlier this week that a decision on the ban would most likely come out this morning, and when it did, a Pandora's box was opened on the state.

The Iowa Supreme Court asked a simple question: "Are all Americans equal under the law, or are they not?" You should read the whole decision, available by googling it - it is beautifully written and intelligent, unlike this nonsense. Keep your religion OUT of my secular law! Funny thing is, in terms of weather and nature, this past summer was one of the best ever: record low numbers of tornadoes, and a record corn crop.

It was the summer of 2008, the last summer when gay marriage was banned, that God was apparently angry at us, what with all those floods and tornadoes.

Iowa has a lot to gain financially by letting gays get married. Other states need to recognize this and let gays get married!
