This short front wrap cross carry is a variation that you can do with a short wrap--I'm using a 3.2 meter rebozo in the video--and you just tie it under the baby's bottom instead of crossing and tying in the back. It's great for a newborn or little baby, it uses less fabric, and is a cooler carry for both of you in hot weather!

  • Thanks for that video, just got a new short wrap and needed a suggestion for a front cross carry.

    :o)

  • can you still do this with a smaller newborn as long as their neck and head are supported? My daughter is almost 3 weeks old and i had a c section. Lugging her stroller around the grocery store and other busy places is hard work especially since i'm not healed all the way yet. I also want to be able to go on walks with her to get back in shape without her stroller. I live in Hawaii and the standard front cross carry is too much fabric (really hot for both of us).

  • Thank you for the video.

What is the length of your shorty?

  • I like that you say that the way you know it is tight enough is if you let go of the baby and it doesn't fall. :)

    Thanks for the instructions.

  • This is so helpful - thank you so much for showing me how to do this! This is so much more comfortable than those comercial cariers!
