@secco549 Hm. Well, it depends on the ski, and on how skinny a boat you're used to. If you've been in a regular touring or recreational type of kayak, 23", 24" beam and then you hop onto a 17" or 18" ski, you'll just sit there wobbling for a bit, and then tip over. You have to actively balance on a ski - you have to learn to sort of lean against each stroke and make the power go through a balance point. But it's a lot of fun, learning, and does wonders for your stroke mechanics.
