The All-New Super Friends Hour introduced super hero guest stars in 1977. Rima, the heroine of Victorian literature was adapted by DC Comics in a comic book series 'Rima the Jungle Girl' in 1974. Rima first appeared in the adventure novel, 'Green Mansions: A Romance of the Tropical Forest', published in 1904 by Argentine-British writer W. H. Hudson. Hudson based Rima on the South American legend about a lost tribe of white people who lived in the mountains. This cartoon, 'The River of Doom' features the team up of Wonder Woman and Rima.

  • Too Quiet!

  • I love how they overshadow wonder woman's strength in these episodes.

  • :) My name is Rima

  • should've used carol burnett's tarzan yell...

  • rimas yell is pitiful. like a dying cat

  • Whoa, she can make animals do what she wants just by yelling at them. That's pretty sweet.

  • @blackonyx2002 That would be so insulting to Rima the Jungle Girl, it's not even funny. xD

  • I wonder if Miss USA Rima Fakih was named after Rima the Jungle Girl.

  • Rima resembles an Amazonian Native American with white hair in the SF series. It seems that DC decided to stay with this ethnic group for her, according to her article in Wikipedia. Actually it makes her more interesting than a female version of Tarzan...

  • Rima yells like Tarzan so was obviously copied after him. for her name isn't Rima a city in Peru?
