How is it done? A particle emitter Scaled and rotated so it spans between you and the target?

I tried to do it the least intensive way I could find, as of right now it mounts a "player" that is just a square for the tongue, then I make the bot aim at the player. Finally I scale the tongue based on distance.

Eventually the tongue is going to look like an actual tongue, and there will probably be an emitter at the end, but as of right now this is it.
