Pre-bake or blind baking is a good idea because it makes the crust flaky, crustier, and less soggy. Makes a big difference!

Hi India, love your buttermilk pie recipe, the crust is so simple, I made it and stored the dough in a ball in the fridge, then rolled it out, it was so pliable and didn't crack! Ciao!
