Why can´t we have artists like this anymore??

How can someone in their (mid) teens write a song like this? Amazing. Where are artists like this nowadays? And IMHO she wrote 2 other songs as astonishing/classic as this - "Moments of Pleasure" and "This Woman's Work" - surely only Lennon/McCartney can come above her in the song writing league?!

I'm glad that most of the comments I've read about her, she receives respect from the world and she deserves it!

The orchestration is beautiful...which orchestra is it?
-
@bergving We do. She's still performing, just released a new album.

Kate and all her music is perfect!

this woman is truly sublime

This woman was decades ahead of her time. Still her genius is not fully realised... How can Xtina, Britney, Madonna or whoever even hold a candle to this complete artist?.
What or who, exactly, is efteling? These videos are awesome, by the way!

@lucypuddlejumper Efteling is a Dutch theme park. Kate made a legendary TV show there in the spring of 1978, and all of these videos are from that show.

is this the original film clip?

@wonsworld No, it's not the original video. You can find the original video on my profile. It's simply called "Kate Bush - The Man With The Child In His Eyes".

Did you know that kate wrote this and dedicated it to david gilmore from pink floyd who spotted kate singing at some small gig and sorted out a recording contract for her and the rest as they say is history .

@yensabi No, it's not about David Gilmour. Kate started writing this song when she was 12 and finished it when she was 14, before she even met him. The song isn't about any particular man.
And it was a friend of her brother called Ricky Hopper who contacted David Gilmour with her demos and got him interested. Kate didn't perform live until 1977, two years after the song was recorded.
