Viva Pataca : Last season's Middle Distance Champion maintained very high standards during the season but could secure just a solitary major title in the Citi Hong Kong Gold Cup (HKG1). He also won the CX International Cup Trial (HK G2). He beat all but Ramonti in the Cathay Pacific Hong Kong Cup (G1) and overcame a bad draw to finish a creditable second in the Dubai Sheema Classic (G1) in March. Defending his title in the Audemars Piguet QE II Cup (G1) and the Citi Champions & Chater Cup (HK G1), he ran third to Archipenko and second to Packing Winner respectively. Still, he is rated 122 internationally alongside Ramonti at the summit of the world's turf horses over intermediate distances (1900m to 2100m).

You have to love the old man of Hong Kong, Viva Pataca. Still races competitive as hell at 8yr.old. Having beat Lizard's Desire in the 2010 Audemars Piguet Q.E.II Cup. Also won the 2009 Citi of Hong Kong Gold Cup.
