For the children in Zimbabwe, the situation is only getting worse due to HIV/AIDS, drought, and the highest inflation in the world. There are over 1.5 million orphans in Zimbabwe and, according to UNICEF, every 15 minutes a child dies from AIDS and hunger in Zimbabwe.

On an annual mission trip to Zimbabwe in September, 2008, we saw many grim situations -- children who are visibly sick with no access to medicine, entire communities with no clean water, and schools with no books or supplies. Women in the community take in more than 20 orphans to keep them from becoming homeless but are in desperate need of basic resources. Heart4Kids wants to help.

Heart4Kids is a non-profit 501 3(C) organization based in Atlanta, Georgia, dedicated to improving the quality of life of children around the world whose lives are shattered by the HIV/AIDS virus. Heart4Kids seeks to protect these children by providing them with food, clothing, educational and medical assistance, and above all hope.
