LMFAO, yes! XD I'm kinda ashamed about how many people say that this movie is better than TOS...how can anybody think that?

Don't worry, there are still some of us die-hard TOS fans out there. I REFUSE to watch TNG, DS9 or Voyager. I'm sticking to my TOS DVDs. XD

(although, I have to admit...out of the reboot, the best actor had to be Karl Urban as McCoy. But he didn't even have a big part in the last one! WTH? What happened to the golden Trio of Kirk, Spock, and McCoy? >.< I rest my case).

As a fellow die-hard TOS fan, I would highly recommend you give DS9 a try. It gets really, really good in the latter seasons and is the closest contemporary Trek ever came to matching the tone of TOS.

kirk is an immature asshole, spock looks like uhura is shoving a dildo up his ass half the time, scotty looks like he's on speed, sulu looks like the actor never bothered to change out his costume before coming off the harold and kumar set, uhura looks like a 60's go-go dancer instead of the classy refined character from tos who is not suppose to be an linguist to begin but should be the ship's it officer. checkov was a joke. mckoy was ok. lastly if this academy days where's gary mitchell

Well, now we have a new timeline which is NEW and can't disrespect the old. We will just get some new, great stories with characters we love. And I really DO love Captain Kirk, the best Star Trek captain, in my opinion. Hey, it could be worse: they could remake Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, like they did with Superman II.

I loved the new Star Trek movie. I think it was genius to create a new timeline, so all the die-hard Trekkies wouldn't cry foul at anything the movie did ("You can't do that because in the second season star date 2500.2, Kirk said this, and then that happened.) ugh! That stuff makes me crazy!
