@TheZeke1974 I am sorry to burst your bubble, but that is absolutely not true that most puppy mills are run by Amish!! I personally know that 90% of dog breeders are not Amish, and you are quilty of discrimination against these peaceful loving people if you say that on a public comment board! This type of misinformation is why so many people are badmouthing all dog breeders, and especailly Amish. " And NO I am not Amish in case you're wondering, but it just upsets me to see them bashed!"

My friend got a dog from a breeder that has epilepsy. Another friends breeder dog had severe hip problems. My dog is a mutt and 17 years old and still doing great. Never get a dog from any breeder.

@chavrons1 USE your Brain ! A rescue dogs comes to you spay/neutered, all shots, Rabies, Micro chip. Trust that a rescue group dose NOT make money off the dogs they rescue. Support your local rescue groups because thye save dogs and vet them no matter how much money it takes to get the dogs healthy. Rescue is from the Heart and there is no money made in rescue. Sure they may get one that they don't have to spend a ton of money on but for that one there are 10 more behind it full of heart worms

@evajulie100 There is ALWAYS another option than buying at a pet store. Buying a pet store puppies supports puppy mills- it doesn't help to stop them. In the future, PLEASE at least get a puppy from a reputable breeder- that is only if you absolutely cannot find one from a rescue. Thank you!

@blinkypo It depends on the rescue and it depends if you can financially support a puppy. Rescues can help you figure it out.
