I'm sure the baby's name is Kokoro.
If you listen to the adult's conversation and comprehend it, they do say "Kokoro-chan". I'm sure they're referring to the baby.

Kokoro does mean Heart does it not? Could they not have meant it in THAT context perhaps? Perhaps they love their child and thought his(or is it her?) attempt at piano was at the very least a little heart warming hmm?
