I work to catch Mike in the 993. Bill comes out of the pits and gets tight behind me in the GT3. I offer to let him by, but he is not ready to pass. I have a problem with brake fade while braking in Horseshoe. A Punker moment.

  • I have to ask, which would be a better choice: A cayman S, a 933 turbo, or a 997 GT3? I understand there is a substantial price difference, but I am only looking at the handling, comfort, reliability, and power. I like the look of the 911s better, but the near-perfect weight distribution of the cayman is very desirable. while price is still a factor, I would much rather pony up and get a car that I will be happy with

  • It all depends on your goal. I have a Boxster, Cayman, GT3, each car is superb.

If you are looking for a street/track car that you can drive at 10/10 every weekend, just adding harnesses, no other mod, then its the GT3.

If you are looking for a daily driver that you can take to the track. Then I would choose the Cayman. With perfect driving and $25k in mods the Cayman with 100Hp less can just equal a stock GT3 in lap times.

For a dedicated race car under $50k, look at the Spec Boxster.

You have me through Wagon Wheel-Rattlesnake. This is excellent video to get a feel for Corner Entry, Apex and Track Out line.
