This 3D animation shows an endovascular procedure for an abdominal aortic aneurysm. Abdominal aortic aneurysm (also known as AAA, pronounced "triple-a") is a localized dilatation (ballooning) of the abdominal aorta exceeding the normal diameter by more than 50 percent. In an endovascular procedure catheters are used to place a stent graft in the aneurysm.
This is an amazing procedure

What happens to residual blood within the aneurysm when the graft is placed? Also, does then aneurysm naturally reduce in size over time due to the lessened pressure?

At my hospital we still do the open procedure. Wish we had this though : /

@hazemalsaadi you are correct. But now another question just occurred to me.Since God created the universe, would that mean he created your aneurysm too?

@Samura1gamer If I was going to pray rather than a surgery, then it would be to the one who created all humanity (including Jesus). That would be God
