@Boss302fan I didn't say they were at fault, I said it was a possibility. Dispatch can override a signal if they want. I don' know exactly what the report said was the cause.

@AMT4245 No. The dispatchers were not a fault. Neither were the signals. The accident was the result of the crew in the oncoming train not obeying signals.

The other train was at fault. It must have ran a red earlier. The POV train had a green because it was supposed to go onto the siding and let the other one pass, but since the other train got there first and never stopped and let the POV train go into the siding, this happened.
Dispatchers could have also been at fault for a faulty signal.

If this was the train accident from the Stockton Sub I was the dispatcher that was handling the signals. The train that the camera was on had signals to go into the siding for the meet of the train on the main line. Train on main line ran the red signal there and that is what caused the head on accident.
