I just got a Squire from my wife as a wedding-day present. Only played on acoustic guitars, so i don't know anything at all about effect-pedals etc. Any tips on what to look for? I love that sound you get out of your guitar...

If you can play you can play on anything These are fantastic guitars for the price.Don,t think so?...Maybe you can, tplay worth a sore ass.
Hi. I'm a beginner and 50!!!! Should i not bother with the tremolo as i've heard that the strings go out of tune easily with it floating? I'm just hoping to enjoy learning and maybe play some Dire Straits eventually. Any advice on a easy song to aim for. Enjoyed your playing, by the way.

It's a matter of personal preference. I never use tremolo bars. If the guitar has one (which mine did), I remove it then lock the bridge down so it doesn't float at all. But that's just the way I prefer it. Experiment to see what best works for you.
As far as what songs you should play, play what you like. :)

I just have to say, you are a very good player indeed.
Does your II have a plywood body? Could you post some pictures on your website?
brajtnerinjo 2 years ago
Squier II's have never had plywood bodies. That's a myth.
rmenga 2 years ago
Are you sure? Cos almost every Squier II owner on the internet says that it's plywood. What wood is yours, then?
brajtnerinjo 2 years ago
You're absolutely wrong. Every Squier II owner on the internet does not say it's plywood. Search google for squier ii plywood, read the Harmony Central article. Read how many owners have personally checked and confirmed it's not.
I suggest you stop talking out of your ass.
