@microloverecords . You can search "Que ne suis-je la fougere" on you tube for several renditions. In addition the use of the Melody in Lebanese Easter songs, my sister and mother alerted me also that the same theme was also used in religious songs in France. To find the complete lyrics and score, search "Lorsqu'un Dieu daigne repandre" in google books. The correct reference will be a book from 1908 7 items down and called: "300 cantiques anciens et nouveaux ..."

Lovely music. In reponse to some comments here: I first heard it as a child in Lebanon on a TV show for kids (bonne nuit les enfants). The original theme is most likely from the 18th century and most likely by Pergolesi. You can search "Que ne suis-je la fougere" in you tube for several renditions.

@MrLutfiA absolutely not, this melody is a Maronite Lebanese Easter song that is played during Big Friday, original version is of course in Arabic!

@AlSibsu: He is right. The hymn is actually based on the melody composed by Pergolesi, the Italian composer who lived in the 18th century.
