Who'd you pay to do that half-witted math for you? Rest I assure you, he was either a chimpanzee or a bellend who never heard of the concept of percent yield before.

Okay, first of all, if you're going to accuse ADM of lobbying and call it a conspiracy, you might as well accuse every corporation in history of conspiracy as well. It's something ALL companies do.

Second, I think we sometimes forget that politicians don't always take lobby money because they're "For Sale." Some of them take that money because THEY BELIEVE IN THE CAUSE THE LOBBYERS BELIEVE IN!

If you believe something, then sell yourself out, that's one thing, but taking money from...(TBC)

...causes you support is just getting support from people you agree with!

I used to believe most corporations were conspiring against the public too, but ironically, it's people like John Stossel who convinced me otherwise!

Now he's gonna turn around and say there IS a conspiracy with ethanol? He's gonna try to say we wouldn't have to subsidize ethanol if it WAS profitable? Were farm subsidies provided over the last century a waste of money too?

OK, all companies are guilty of conspiracy, then. I believe that subsidies may be needed for legit endeavors, just to get the ball rolling, not that ethanol is legit. My only real issue with you is your belief that politicians mean well. For the most part, they're completely corrupt. The only reason that MONEY is involved in lobbying is to influence politicians to do the WRONG thing. Come on, man.

Oh, you're a 20-something, LOL! Now I see why you're so naive, thinking that most politicians are doing their bidding for the people and that lobby cash is just innocent fun. Corporations have been conspiring against the people for decades. That's why we're in the shit now. Do you really think that the rich don't conspire to make themselves richer at the expense of the public?

I didn't say lobby cash was innocent fun I said that it's only wrong if the money is your sole reason for voting yea or nay on a bill
And I never said that I thought most politicians were noble, but I'm not going to say they're all evil.
WE don't sit in on the sessions of Congress. WE don't understand how bills get passed. WE don't know if the process is simple or complicated. And WE contributed!

Why are we so unwilling to accept a little responsibility? IT'S GOVERNMENT! IT'S CORPORATIONS!

yes, they are, farm subsidies are actually used to pay farmers to not grow certain crops a majority of the time. In other words farmers are gettting paid to do nothing with tax dollars. If the subsidy didn't exist food would actually be cheaper since there would be fewer taxes on it and there would be less taxes taken from the people to pay farmers to do nothing

...How exactly does that prove your point? There's a difference between not having a grasp on the issue and not meaning well.
