@anglaismoyen I just finished it and it's one of my favourites!

OMG! I had a more "poetic" souvenir of how the opening music sounded. I mean... the synth in the main theme feels so skinny! Besides, all real orchestrations are well done.

I am close to understanding your fascination in crystals Diamond Dave and how they compare to the less predictable world created by people. I am trying to make sense of myself at a cell level, molecular, atomic -- and it makes more sense to my ego mind then what my mind pretends to think, feel, say, and do.

I first saw the PBS series based on the book in 1975 as a teenager. Yes, it whetted many folks' thirst for science, but know that myth touches, fulfills and satisfies regions of the soul that science cannot. For me, it's not either/or science, religion. It's a banquet, a feast of knowledge and spirituality, and here am I, at once a poor beggar and a glutton!

My brother bought the book for me when I was a teenager and it instilled in me an understanding of evolution which has never left me. Of course I devoured the TV programmes too. Bronowski was a great presenter and populiser of science.

Thanks for posting; I've been wanting to see this for years. Back in '73, when I was a teen, this title sequence announced that the best show on TV was about to air. The series fostered in me new interests which would ultimately led to a career in science.

Our teacher showed this series to us when I was in 5th grade. This music has haunted me for the past 28 years! I never knew the name of this series and could only hum the tune! Now I know.
