This Is Your Life, Buster Keaton - Part Two.

This was a live show, which is why you see funny things like someone walking on their hands and knees behind Ralph Edwards or Donald O'Connor falling off his stool, all captured by the live cameras.

I noticed this wasn't on YouTube so I added it. I'm sorry for the "bloop" noise in the background, there was no way to effectively remove it without compromising regular audio quality, or what is left of it.

Ralph Edwards and his corny comments throughout... Ugh. Buster must have really hated this, but was a good sport about it. He lights up when Eleanor comes out :) Thanks for posting. Never saw this before!

@glassoniongirl64: If anything positive came out of this show, it's that it proved what a gentleman Buster was. This episode says a lot about his character in that he was able to sit through all of Ralph Edwards' crap politely without getting visibly angry.

Buster hated crowds and was very shy with people he did not know. Edwards put him on the spot many times even embarrassing him. What a jerk he was! Buster was a gentleman. Thank Heaven Eleanor asked him to marry her so he could be happy for the last 26 years of his life. He was a true gentleman.

Maybe Red said that because Buster didn't tell him that the gag he describes is straight out of "The Cameraman". Of course it's funnier when it's silent and with Buster doing it. Still Red is at least nice.

I wanted to smack Ralph Edwards! But it was so sweet when Eleanor came out and they kissed like that.

Too bad Virginia Fox didn't make it. I wonder if they tried to locate some of this other leading ladies.

buster is his usual classy self.

ach, i can't even watch this. it's just so rude to do this to a person. like a surprise birthday party but with the added 'fun' of being told about the shittiest parts of your life.

Red Skelton said Buster was modest! Maybe so, but MGM didn't give him writting credit to begin with. Not that Buster would have asked for.

Buster does not seem comfortable or at ease during this interview. That Ralph is obnoxious,he's too scripted.

Poor Buster. His first wife Natalie really put him through the wringer. He finally got the woman he really deserved when Elanor came into his life!
