You still have to wash it. I used anything from Mothers, to eagle one, to Chemical guys. Either way wax will cause you to get water spots if you let it sun dry.
Its best to spray it down. then dry.

I've never had a problem with water spotting after letting the rain sun dry on any car.I have always used high quality Carnauba wax products,Zymol,Victoria wax,etc.
