hi im 15 and thinking about getting a mooncup as i live in the UK. ive been using tampons for about a year and they give me cramps and leak a lot as i have quite a heavy flow. How much does the moon cup hold because i hate having to change at school and so wan to get through the day without the hassel. Do you think the mooncup would be a good choice for me?

In that case, you could try something with more capacity, like a Lunette or Fleurcup, Miacup, Divacup (Mia and Diva hold quite a bit).

@666darkhawk -- Depends how heavy your flow is. If its really light, then small or medium Meluna, small Ladycup. But if its sorta average or a little heavier, then small Lunette, small Yuuki. If its really heavy, small Divacup, small Miacup.

Hi, I was wondering do the small holes let water in when swimming or bathing because I like swimming and when I bathe, I don't like to do it in my blood... @mrsjennyjonasx -- Its ok, that's what I'm here for :) As long as you have the right size/brand for your needs, and no gynecological problems, it should not be leaking. Plenty of people shower, bathe and swim successfully wearing a cup. The stem can also be trimmed for comfort, the best thing to use is a finger nail clipper, try to smooth the edges away. For most people, a cup does not cause movement restrictions, since it is flexible.

Honestly I think it can be nice for you, first of all because of health problems due to the use of tampons which absorb not online blood but also the natural protection of you vagina. However, if you're a virgin, you may have some difficulties to insert it and it may be painful.... I think you should ask your gynecologist for more information
