I like both characters, i used to like just Mario... But then played Sonic and both are cool, c'mon guys... Can we Mario and Sonic fans friends, just like they are cuz of the olympic games. The '90 years are over. Sonic and Mario are friends, both have their pros and contras, just my opinion...

@RayMan51207 Even if? Look him up on one of the SSB wikis, Sonic was added in October 2007, a few months before the release. And do you honestly think that in the trailer where Sonic appears, they would have Mario beat him, or have him fight another character?

They still made sonic save everybody. And in the Sonic Joins The Brawl Cutscene where they show sonic with that live and learn song, sonic completely destroyed mario. Also even if sonic was at the end, why did nintendo make sonic save the day. Honestly, I don't have anything against Mario (except for the fact his brother is cooler), but if there were a battle between the two, even mario fans have to agree sonic would win.

@RayMan51207 not really, Sonic was added late in development and they wanted Sonic to have a role in the SSE. Since SSE was almost done, they opted for Sonic to appear in the very end.

@TheRRfilms True why its rings makes no sence, but he actualy collects them because they are protection, how it works is beyound me, and they are also currency. Rings probably weren't SEGA's best idea, the games would have been better with health. Seriously, your money is your health too? I don't get it.
