Lily Grace

Lily Grace was born January 15, 2009 at 3:13 AM. She was 5 lbs. 10 oz. and 17 inches. She went home to heaven on January 16. Lily had Trisomy 13 - a rare genetic disorder for which there is no known cause and no cure. A heartfelt thanks to Kelly Friend of Kelly Friend photography and the Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep Foundation for capturing these precious memories and creating this slide show. In late October we learned that Lily had Trisomy 13, a rare genetic disorder with no known cause and no cure. She was not expected to live to term. If she did survive to term, we didn't think she would make it through delivery. She beat all the odds and made it to term and lived for 34 precious hours. As soon as we received the diagnosis, we danced, we sang, we read, we played every chance we got with more passion than ever before in life. For this time was Lily's taste of life on earth.
After an easy birth, many of our family members got to meet Lily and she greeted them with beautiful love. We are so thankful for her life and comforted knowing that she is enjoying the peace, wholeness, and joy of heaven. Hannah summed it up best, "Dad, baby Lily is playing with baby Jesus."

Happy Birthday Lily! You are such an Angel and soon to be a big sister Angel! We all love you so much and miss you all the time. My daughter's 6 months pg.. She was told her baby had this she is real upset and crying. This video was a blessing to me I pray she has her baby and I can hold my grandson and let him feel our love like you did. God Bless Your Very Special Family.
