"You dont have to force yourself to like him the way he does, Demi."

My older sister's voice startled me. Her voice colored with assurance. I almost forgot her presence in the car. I forgot she's been with me through a lot. And she's one of my bestfriends, who could probably be my hero at this point. Oh Im a horrible sister to forget about that.

"It's not that easy" I murmured under my breath--still looking down to ignore her gaze.

"Now, Tell me how did it sound so difficult." She sighed. She knew this will lead to that conversation again, as if we haven't talked about it before. It always end up failing to convince me. I could see the pity in her eyes.

"Dallas.." I whispered. "We've talked about this."

"Still you won't listen to me." She accused.

"I just can't do what you're requesting me."

"Just try, Demi! It wont hurt. And it is the right thing." She pressed. Whiney.

"How can you be sure it's the right thing to do?" I stared at her eyes. Again, her eyes full of pity.

"I know you that well. And I can easily see, that Alex guy is no good for you. You deserve so much better." She demanded, crossing her arms across her chest.

I sighed and looked down.

She moved near me and rubbed my back for comfort. She might guessed I need it. And it was a wise guess.

"I dont want to hurt his feelings." I muttered still looking down.

"He'll understand if he really cares for you."

"How can I let go? It's not fair for him, now. It's too soon."

"How long would you like to play as the stupid, helpless girlfriend and continue this nonsense--" She got cut-off by my serious glare. My eyes narrowed at her.

"Ok, ok." She held her hands up while nodding. "I'll be nice." And then she grinned.

"Just tell me what to do." I demanded.

She nodded. "It's easy. Just tell him the truth. And that's it!"

"Easy for you to say." I muttered to myself.

"I heard that!" She told me pouting. "It's really easy, Demi." And then she got serious again.

There's a long moment of silence.

"I guess I could try." I broke the silence, looking up to see her smugly face.

"Of course you could!" she beamed enthusiastically. I could tell, she's right. I could try to tell him that Im not.. in love with him at all.

"Tell me, honestly," she breathed "is it..Joe? the reason... you know.." She struggled along the words.

My eyes widen in shock. My jaw dropped. Ohmygod, Have I went too obvious these days? Im sure that my little Joe-fantasies were hidden strictly beneath the smallest nerve of my brain. How did it leaked? Im very sure I've been controling myself and composing my facial expression professionally everytime Joe's around. And im so sure that no one knows except for Selena. I thought Im good enough. Though I really got nervous everytime Joe's around, I could still manage to compose myself.

"Are you okay, Demi?" Dallas shrugged my shoulders.

I got startled. "huh?!" I looked up at her gaze. Mouth opened.

"You look like you've just seen a ghost. Or maybe a vampire!" She laughed. "let alone, Edward Cullen." She sighed a dreamy sigh.

"Heey!" I snapped her out of her reverie. "Dont mess with my vampire."

"Oh.." She looked at me. "Really? You'd rather prefer me to mess with your Joe, instead? than your Edward?" She teased grinning. "Alright then."

I've lost it! I cant find the right words to answer her stupid question. Ugh.

"Oh common, Demi." She nudged me. "You're not Bella Swan. Get moving! You still have Joe waiting in the wings for you."

I groaned. "Stop this, Dallas. I dont like it."

"Just tell me that you're in love with Joe and I'll shut up." She promised. Giggling.

"No. Im not."

"Im not buying that. You're a horrible liar. Common, tell me."

I shook my head.

"Tell me now. Please.." Very whiney.

"Fine!" I admitted. I surrender now. "Im inlove with him. Happy now?"

She squealed hysterically and clapped her hands nonstop. I poked my palm to my forehead and shake my head in denial. She is so unbelievable.

As my older sister continued clapping and squealing herself out, I felt the SUV, that we're apparently riding on, slowing down.
