Corals are among the most important animals in the sea. They provide marine life with places to find food, safe havens from predators, and areas for reproduction. While commonly known for their use in jewelry and décor, corals are not mere accessories in the sea. They are vital for a healthy ocean. But our corals are in crisis, suffering from overfishing that stems from high consumer demand, oil and gas exploration, invasive species, pollution and climate change. Too Precious To Wear is a campaign created to empower consumers and industry professionals to create a demand for coral conservation. The campaign strives to reduce threats to corals by recruiting influential fashion and design leaders to be leading voices for coral protection.
