  • Awesome vid never seen that b4 and i now have 2 lvl 75's :P

  • Similar but different games. Wow is more user friendly and probally has less grindy quests now. LOTRO has much more detailed graphics, is more hard core with character class skills and traits. Both are great as very cheap entertainment to spend many, many hours on.

  • @igetboredproductions ok, i admit, i haven't looked into your channel, so i don't know if you're a 'troll' or not. and i'm not a troll; i don't post videos, i made an account so i could post my opinion, not so i could necessarily post videos. and, by the way, what does whether i post videos or not have to do with lotro? i'm tired of listening to you bitch and argue when im just trying to state my opinion. in MY opinion, LOTRO is a lot like WoW. in YOUR opinion, they're completely different games

  • @MrUSGERMAN Ok, I look at your plain channel and see you are nothing more than a troll. No matter how good of an argument I put up, you will just say no and state random things without any backup so after this I will probably block. Ever play guild wars? pretty similar too. I myself have played many MMO games, and the one MMO that is different from my perspective is Runescape, but if that is what you are using to compare then this argument probably wouldn't have lasted long.

  • @igetboredproductions and it's the side mechanics that are exactly the same as WoW.

the controls are all exactly the same, the combat is only a hair different, the mount controls (other than flying mounts) are the same, the player auction system is exactly the same. i've played dozens of MMO's and i haven't found one remotely close to WoW..... other than lotro.

  • @MrUSGERMAN Also, I am well aware LOTRO used to cost money. Key word "used to". Before they could make the game free they had to become popular enough that the turbine store could support the game enough to run the servers. WoW has been running for years and they are well enough to do the same, but they don't because they are too greedy. That is what I respect about Turbine, and I ended up paying for VIP because I wanted to and not had to.

  • @MrUSGERMAN LOTRO didn't copy WoW in the least. Yes, LOTRO is a game of grinding and killing monsters to level up, much like WoW, but that is what an MMO is in general. Saying they copied is like saying God of War copied Zelda because all you do is run around slashing monsters. Its the side mechanics in MMOs that make each one unique.

  • @igetboredproductions I AGREE! they are very similar, yes, but that's because WoW is the leading MMO, so the devs figured "what the hell, we should learn from the best" and made a game similar. by the way, LOTRO did also use the 15-a month purchase thing; you had to buy the game AND pay 15 a month for a premium account. where i think lotro really shines is the player community; the average lotro player age:25. where the average wow player is like 12.

  • @igetboredproductions i havnt played a mmorpg in 2 years, i just was amazed at how much wow and this game look alike and i dont know who copied who.
