When you use QuickBooks to keep track of your bookkeeping you will want to make sure that you have accurate tracking in terms of the deposits that came into your bank account and where that money came from. This tutorial goes over how you can make sure that a deposit in QuickBooks matches the deposit that hits your bank account.

  • @HealthyPleasures Hi! You can watch another video on here which answers that very question. Simply search my videos for this title "QuickBooks Tutorial Entering Receipts" YouTube will not allow me to post links here in the comments.

  • I am also new. How do you enter receipts from taking a client out to lunch, things for the office...those kind of receipts.

  • @brianna9251 Hi! That looks like an opening deposit made to establish the bank account. In QuickBooks you would click 'Banking' then 'Make Deposits' and that will bring up the dialogue you need, however the remaining question will be which account, and that depends on where the money came from.

  • HI! Thank you for all the informations you sent . I'm new in working with quickbooks. Can you please tell me how to record a deposit? My business is a restaurant and I have the bank statement. I have something like this:

1/1/2010 Bank of America deposit 100.00

I recorded it but i'm not very sure that i did it corectly. I did : Thanks
