@embojitsu HAHA yes, I asked if they had any nineteenth century German philosophy in my local library the other day, so I can certainly understand that situation.
-
@Semi0Skimmed0Milk I can relate to that so no offence taken! I was in a book shop today and asked if they had any Richard Holmes biographies on Coleridge, and got looked at as if I had twelve heads. Just my good luck I didn't ask for any Tacitus! I would have been run from the shop by a mob carrying pitchforks. I apologise for my previous snappiness. :-D

@embojitsu Oh sorry, it's just I'm surrounded by incorrigible morons so I have a habit of elaborating unnecessarily. It's nothing personal, I'm sure your cognitive faculties are perfectly fine :D

@Semi0Skimmed0Milk Yes, I do understand the drawing of character types in films, thanks all the same. It's hardly rocket science.
-
@embojitsu The only reason he isn't gorgeous in that is because he was quite consciously portrayed by the directors as otherwise. His character was supposed to be a stuffy, needly, holier than thou pretentious dickhead. In a bad jumper. If I remember correctly.

It's nice to see so many girls and women being attracted to him. Gives hopes to rest of the world's ranting foul-mouthed heavy drinkers
