had you considered doing some plastic welding? I've only ever done it with grey board but it's surprisingly strong and gives a great appearance

@TradieTrev I did, there is an adhesive you can get, though I prefer to bolt things together so I can pull them apart if I need to, I did how ever do a bit of flame polishing with scrap piece of acrylic and it makes cut edges look amazing though I buckled the sheet stained the top of the sheet, my flame was probably to big.

I think you should hing it out the back and have everything be accessible/removable from the back. This would allow the front to be kept as clean as possible (cosmetically).  Looks like a neat case project. Will like to see it when done :) Props for tackling a custom case like this.
