What can I say about Face Dancer...They were the first band to get me into music. I heard Red Shoes in 1979 and was hooked. I met the band on my birthday, November 22nd, 1980, at Painters Mill Star Theatre. I got to dance on stage with Carey to "Mambo." I loved them then, and I love them now. I will be uploading several tributes to Face Dancer. All photos were taken by me, unless I'm in them. This version of Red Shoes, the original version, was recorded off of their 1979 LP, This World. Face Dancer is a "Baltimore Band" and a lot of the photos in this tribute were taken at Hammerjacks. More to come...

Salem, as a matter of fact, there is a new DVD that will make it's debut at the Maxwell's Reunion at the Recher Theatre in Towson on April 3rd. It's a video of Face Dancer made at Hammerjacks in 1986. Come to the reunion and buy one!!!

Was thinking about this band just the other day and wondered if they might have something on youtube and BAM! They are here!! I grew up listening to them with Crack The Sky , Ravyns, DC Star Kix. I miss the old school local music scene but I now live near Houma , La and the local scene here rocks too. yall should check out a band called SouthDown, they Rock! Sisters and I will miss Carey!!
