A Way (The Morning song)

I woke up one morning and took my guitar to the top of the yard to enjoy the sunrise and and play some warm up music. As I became aware of my immediate surroundings the first verse just made itself up. Everything was right there. What a beautiful day. The rest of the song just unfolded as naturally as the first verse.I really like singing this song. I think it still needs a bridge but that will come in time.
The setting where this is recorded is not my yard in Hawaii but a riparian area near my mother's home in Northern California. An oasis in a metropolitan sea.

It is interesting for me to come back and listen to this song. I still play it regularly, but over time I have relaxed the tempo and play it much slower. Every time I play this song my thoughts turn to my dear friend in the east. May the very thought of springtime warm you through & through. Tonight is the vernal equinox :-)
