I love tony.. I can listen to a cut he did a thousand times and hear some thing new every time...What an innovator miles said a drummer like him comes around once in a life time...I think the next life time guy is here in the form of Chris Dave. A guy who spent a good deal of time studying Tony and yet he sounds nothing like him. Check him out and see what you think

I seen this band just few days later this video was made , they were in Pompei jazz festival , Naples , Italy . Before them , 1st set there was playing CArmen Mc Rae and his trio !!! All around the magic atmosphere of the ancient ruines since the volcano eruption 79 a.c . No wonder this has been one of the best jazz-night ever in my life !

as much as i like jazz and you can trace my comments, there is a beauty that comes with experiencing the divinity of Jesus that is unparalleled on any level.

@foolaloof1 not sure what you mean by your comment, but I'm guessing you are one of those cats who just hear notes and rhythms. Clearly Jazz is not for you.

@otnas01 if your not dreaming.......your just sleeping.

Tony's BeBop is torrential and the most musical ever played by any Jazz drummer.

Freddie put it down like no other horn playa.

I love tony!
In every form of life be it religion, politics or arts, man has made sacrifices to make the world a better place. All these great men have done so sometimes to the cost of their own lives on this planet .Let us never forget them .

I hope there is a heaven and jazz clubs and gigs. Let's hope that we're all fortunate to get there too because I know where I'll be every night. Miles, Coltrane, Mingus, Tony and Bill Evans playing their asses off! Now that's what i'm talking about!
