A small percentage of Guantanamo inmates were captured by US forces. Many were captured for no other reason than to earn reward money, so many innocent men could have been captured in order to earn that money.

Inmorocco: Sorry for late follow up (year after yours) but you are right. SS were shot on sight due to what we found and how they were in Germany. However, it was a different time and there wasn't the major media coverage that we have today. Media today would have made anyone evil for doing this today. It's much the same with the Atomic bomb and Truman. A lot of folks don't like that Truman bombed Japan, but they weren't alive then with family fighting island to island either.
