Kenai River Sockeye / Red salmon slaying - Frank Holdburg

Me fishing on the awesome Kenai River in Alaska on a pretty decent day of reds fishing. The first fish I had in the mouth but the 2 others I hook I just let go because they were snagged. I catch the last fish and release it because I had already cought my 6 fish limit!

Note - I try to keep them in the water when I release the fish, but as you can see it beached its self.

Kiss every fish you let go for good luck!

P.S. you can wipe the slime off your lips. Im sure she diddnt mind the trade off :P

@AkChamp130 ya i no one time we went in august to and there were fish but only in certain areas they were really big and easy to catch

@landea46 what you dont understand is there is 2 different runs of red salmon that come through this river. The quarts creek and russian river reds and then there is the actual kenai river reds. Kenai river reds are much bigger fish and come a lot later in the season.

@AkChamp130 Thats late i go in july and i get them when the limit is 6 last year we got 30 fish a day but thats still good time to go i guess
