Also titled "El Negro Zumbon" in Spanish, the theme from Anna was a top 10 hit. This 1951 Italian movie reminds me of "Sister Act" in the 90s. It was a collaboration of producers Dino de Laurentiis and Carlo Ponti and featured a budding young actress named Sophia Loren. Music was by Nino Rota (The Godfather).

Indeed this beautifull woman was the first Monica Belucci that Italy gave the World. Great artist and simply beautifull looking. I also saw her in 1952, I was then 10 years old and could never forget her and the song ! Some things in life stay in ones mind until one dies....

I fell in love with her when she was playing two roles ,the constant Penelope and the temptress Circ trying to lure Kirk Douglas to his doom in Ulysses. I still have the 78 release of this record with Non Dimenticar on the other side.She was still beautiful even in her last film Dune. Someone here mentioned her in Ben Hur,that was Haya Harrett True,they are both beautiful women with full sumptuous lips,but it ends there! I remember when I was a kid and Bitter Rice was condemned,now I know why!
